SCARCE (School & Community Assistance for Recycling & Composting Education) will host its annual kick-off to the growing season, the Growin’ Green Garden Market, on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the organization’s NEW location, 800 S Rohlwing Rd (IL Rt 53) in Addison, IL.
The event will feature eco-friendly garden supplies, such as food scrap amended compost, local and organically grown seedlings, rain barrels, native plants, and more. Informational booths; mini-workshops on composting, native plants and bees; crafts; music; and more will also be provided to help you celebrate the arrival of spring and get your garden off to a good start.
Food scrap amended compost, seedlings, and rain barrels can be purchased on the day of the event pre-ordered for pick-up at the event. Pre-ordering is recommended for compost.
