ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL ENGINEER II - LAND (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY) SEIU LOCAL 73   

Under the direction of the Solid Waste Coordinator, conducts environmental inspections to determine compliance with the Cook County Environmental Control Ordinance and applicable State and Federal regulations.  Responds to customer complaints; identifies compliance violations; and issues violation citations regarding solid waste facilities, recycling facilities, open dumps, other sites related to solid waste and recycling activities. Prepares detailed environmental inspection reports for administrative review and provides determination for subsequent course(s) of action.  Assists in the review and issuance of permits, including necessary communications between the department and facility owners and operators.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Visit here for more details and how to apply https://www.cookcountyil.gov/
